The Art of Elaine M. E. Gaffney B.A. (Hons.)
Elaine was raised and educated in Lancashire, England. After studying at Blackpool and The Fylde College achieving B.A. (Hons) Degree in Scientific and Natural History Illustration she now works as a freelance artist from her home in Blackpool. These works are created using a variety of media - from graphite and coloured pencils, watercolour, gouache, acrylics and oils adapting each subject to the individual medium. Elaine produces a wide range of subjects and also illustrates children’s books.

The Artist has carried out professional and private commissions on a variety of subjects. Each year she has had paintings accepted for the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA). As well as exhibitions at the ‘Ashton Memorial’, Williamson Park, Lancaster; ‘Lytham Heritage Centre’, Lytham St. Annes, her paintings, prints and reproductions on greetings cards are on sale all year round at the ‘ABC Gallery’, Martin Mere Wildfowl Centre, Nr. Burscough; ‘Billingtons Craft Centre’, Catforth, Nr. Preston; & ‘Cobble Hey Farm’, Claughton on Brock, Garstang; as well as local Rural Shows and Craft Fairs.
